Tampa has several active professional sports alliances that call the bay area home. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lighting and New York Yankees Spring Training all call this region home. The University of South Florida Bulls and University of Tampa Spartans provide multiple NCAA sports for the area. Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans cheered their winning team on to Super Bowl glory in 2003 and their favorite hockey team, the Tampa Bay Lightning, on to the 2004 Stanley Cup victory. 2008 was exciting for our Tampa Bay RAYS fans as well, as they came out on top as the American League Champions. The Outback Bowl provides championship NCAA football in January.

There are multiple opportunities for participation in amateur sports. Dozens of beautiful golf courses are located nearby, and boating and other outdoor opportunities are ever present.
